~Lips Like Sugar

Ok let me start by saying I am a self professed lip-gloss junkie. Well that & breath mints. My boyfriend often teases that I'm always looking like I'm waiting to be kissed? Is that a bad thing? haha Well last week I found a new lip-gloss love in my local drug store. Maybelline: Shine Sensational comes in total of 18 flavors to choose from. I bought 2 (so far) 1st was the "Treat Me Sweet" which is a kinda sheer pink tint & tastes like Pink jellybeans. Yum! 2nd was my favorite. Which was "Sweet Indulgence"& hold on to your hats girls tastes like a French Macaroon! It is a sweet lighter pink color with some micro-glitter flakes. I just might have to try out a few more!

Happy Week-End to all ! This week-end I bring you the one and only Doris Day in With Six You Get Eggroll (1968).

A young widow with three children and a sheepdog marries a widowed man with a young daughter and a French poodle in this amusing comedy. Abby (Doris Day) is the owner of a lumberyard who falls for Jake (Brian Keith).

Served with "With Doris you get Chocolate Chip Cookie Egg Rolls" (from Balance Blog)

How to:
1 package Nestle Toll house refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough, or homemade
1 package egg roll wrappers
stick pretzels

http://balancefood.blogspot.com/2007/03/chocolate-chip-egg-rolls.html

Place four pretzel sticks and approximately 1 Tablespoon of cookie dough (roll it into a rough log shape) near the upper center of the egg roll wrapper. Leave about 1 inch on each side between the cookie dough. Fold the edges of the egg roll wrapper over the cookie dough/pretzel and the roll up. Seal the edge with a little water.

Pan fry in about 1/2 inch of canola oil, drain and garnish with ice cream caramel or chocolate sauce.

~Joe Vs. The Volcano....Week-End

Now I always felt this was a under loved child of a Meg & Tom movie. So I thought why not shine a spot light on this film that started it all.

Joe Versus the Volcano (1990)

Joe versus the Volcano is a fable which opens with somewhat surrealistic scenes of the dehumanization of Joe Bank's job and work environment (at a company whose product rather literally screws people) with imagery that seems to have been inspired by the classic film Metropolis. Joe is diagnosed with an incurable disease, quits his dehumanizing job, and accepts an offer to briefly "live like a king, die like a man" - but to fulfill his agreement he must willingly jump into a live volcano on the island of Waponi Woo in order to appease the volcano god. En route to the island, Joe meets a series of interesting characters in NYC and LA, then boards a yacht, captained by Patricia Graynamore. During the voyage Joe and Patricia survive disaster, fall in love, and finally arrive at the island where they face their destiny.

How about serving that up with alittle...
